Giant Desert Hairy Scorpion- Hadrurus arizonensis- L= body up to 6 inches long. The giant hairy scorpion is largest scorpion in the United States and one of the least common of Arizona’s desert scorpions. Though it maybe scary looking its sting is mild, causing only local pain and swelling. One of the most interesting things about scorpions is that they fluoresce under ultraviolet light.
